Military scientists in Ukraine have been studying the entrails of unexploded ordnance (missiles, artillery rockets, drones, etc) recovered from their Russian adversaries. The results are interesting to say the least.
Many of the electronics inside the guidance and targeting system of these Russian weapons bear ChiCom and even US manufacturer labels, source codes, or other taggents of origin.
Without these electronics - which are not able to be domestically produced in Russia for various manufacturing reasons - it is estimated that 30-40% of Russian "smart weapons" would be unable to fly. So America (in many cases via Chinese industrial customers) is fighting American technology in Russian weapons with American technology in Ukrainian weapons.
Are we really surprised? Really? No, don't think so.
We are a dumb country. Sold out. Exploited by the current occupant of the White House as well.
My theory is that the "Constructive Engagement" policy with the commies has been a flop. Just like it usually is with people.
We ignore massive character flaws - like genocide, wholesale pollution, slavery, militarism, threats of war - in order to delude ourselves that "people are people" and "they are just like us" if we "give them a chance".
Yeah.
That doesn't work with malignant governments any more than malignant people (subway thugs, unabombers, serial rapists, child molesters, terrorists).
The Nixon/Kissinger-inspired engagement which then mutated into wholesale selling-out under Clinton/Bushes/ObaMugabe and has become a way for crooks like Biden to personally enrich themselves.
The American public was tricked to think the "virus of freedom" would somehow infect a dictatorship like China. We saw what happened at Tiananmen, with the Uyghurs, with Christians, with Covid, US police stations, US election interference, and Falun Gong. There is no possible uprising in China, no RTKBA and First Amendment either. (Thanks Google, FB, Twitter, MS, Apple, and the rest of "do no evil except if it is profitable", SillyConners. I've had enough of your arrogant self-virtuous crowing.)
So whether the components came from corrupt US companies directly, through ghosted 3rd parties, or are copies down to the ID markings (a la the Soviet B29 reverse engineering), it really doesn't matter. We are not a serious nation about national security any more. Hell, we don't even care who physically enters the country at our borders.
Joe Biden can rant about fighting Corn Pop "with chains", while leaving US and its allies deeply vulnerable to the CCP in China. And he could care less.
One more reason to impeach him.
