Here we go again with Biden and the "We've Got To Do Something" mentalists and a proposed "semi-auto gun ban".
President Corn Pop literally said so. He called it "sick" that semi-auto guns are allowed to be in the hands of private citizens. He conflates a lot in that short but highly idiotic phraseology.
First, he betrays that idiocy by barking there is something unusual or extra lethal or high tech about "semi-auto" guns. There isn't anything new about them.
A semi-auto is merely a gun that fires once for each time the trigger is pulled. Revolvers do that too. You load a revolver in a circle. You load a semi-auto in a stack. No difference except the shape of the magazine (or cylinder) and the mechanics of how the rounds enter the receiver, and if/how they are ejected.
Second, highly capable firearms are EXACTLY what the US Constitution affirms is the right of private citizens to keep and bear, such that they may act as a militia force in case of federal or foreign tyranny. The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting, collecting, or target-shooting. It's about the American citizen having the means to fight oppression. Read up on what the drafters and debaters said during ratification, Mr. Biden.
Third, bolt-action (non-semi-automatic) guns can be one helluva lot more lethal than a semi-auto. Ask a combat medic which is more lethal. A medium size AR or AK round from a so-called "assault weapon", or a 30.06 from a Springfield bolt action gun! Nobody hunts deer with a .223 AR for that very reason: It's not as lethal as a big bolt action gun.
Fourth, guns, including revolvers and semis which can empty out their cylinders/magazines, have been around a LONG time. They didn't change society. Society has changed its value system.
We live in a death culture today.
There's "no God" only "equity", laws aren't enforced (including gun laws) because they are "racist", families are under attack by Lefties, children are told they are pre-determined to be either victims or villains at birth (CRT), Hollywood and the video industry glorify shooting games and de-sensitize what it means to take a life, and abortion on demand even after actual birth in some insane states.
It is no wonder murders in general are on the rise. That exactly tracks with the decline of civilized society.
Guns don't kill people. People kill people. But people don't like to look inward or admit they are wrong or de-based. They almost always - as weaklings - accuse somebody they don't like. Like the Leftist National Socialists did back - you know, right? - in old Deutschland in the 1930's and 40's. Find a scapegoat! Round them up! Take away their guns!

We've seen how that played out. Not happening here, Mr. Biden. Have some more ice cream, take a spin on your bicycle, or help Hunter with his addictions. But Traditional America isn't causing the "sick", nor are our guns. You and your Progressive fascists are.
