Shut it down.
As we hurtle towards a new US Government fiscal year, if the Biden budget busters won't heel to fiscal reality, then the House Republicans should: Shut. It. Down.
DC spending is out of control, and has been for the last couple of decades. But the last 4 years have busted all records.
We spent more on "Covid" than we spent to win WW2. And we didn't win against the virus.
We're funding Ukraine, and not even just the military side of it. But all of it. Including the rebuild after the war, according to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. This week he pledged the US would pay for the resurrection of Ukraine, even though America didn't invade or start the war. Shouldn't Russia pay to rebuild Ukraine? (Duh...)
Meanwhile, America can't afford (or refuses to afford) to rebuild America.
Roads, airports, water systems, schools, bridges, power plants, sea ports, hospitals, military hardware, NASA, dams, border, etc etc, we're crumbling and no rich Uncle Sam seems interested in saving the USA.
Biden is canceling debt left and right. PPP, ERC, Student Loans, Pension Plans, S&Ls, Mid-Size Banks.
We are now over 50% of the population on some sort of federal nipple at the spending trough of largesse.
The Fed is printing money willy nilly driving up the price of everything in historic inflation numbers, about 13% overall since Biden came into office. Why? Because we are $33 TRILLION dollars in debt. Two generations of young adults can't finance - much less afford - a starter home as rates and prices skyrocket. Due mostly because of the national debt.
It's basic economics: More dollars in circulation drives spending power down, inflation.
Biden keeps giving cash to rich EV buyers, EV car companies, EV battery manufacturers, and crony giveaways like the Chips Act.
Frankly, The Swamp succeeded in bribing the Middle Class into silence during Covid. What would have triggered an uprising against draconian shut-downs and lay-offs and lost wages was pacified by billions and billions of welfare dollars. That's correct, welfare for the middle class. "Free money" to lay on the sofa and binge-watch "Yellowstone" while Uber Eats brought the pizza and Amazon delivered the TP. And the money was better than what workers earned before Covid doing, you know, work.
Now the horror of the Covid spending is starting to be revealed. Celebrities like Post Malone getting $10M in PPP forgiveness. Total unfunny joke. Dumping taxpayer dollars on multi-millionaire artists that your great-grandchildren will struggle to pay off to the ChiCom bankers buying up Treasury Notes.
The UniParty of Dems and RINOs are killing us softly, one program, one compassionate outburst, one illegal immigrant, one vaccine booster, one idiotic non-marketplace failed "solution" at a time. They lulled the Middle Class into its own death chamber and are slowly extracting all the Oxygen.
"Here's the crack you crave, and you don't have to worry, we have more, and you don't have to pay for it. Customers who haven't been born will. Party on! Woo-hoo!"
If you are a drunk, the solution is stop drinking.
If you are a gambling addict, the solution is to stop betting.
If you are a spendthrift, the solution is to take away the credit card.
That is required for the DC spendthrifts. The House Republicans need to take back the DC credit cards and cut them up. If it takes a shut down, good, do it.
America needs a reality check. We are in a hole that threatens the country's very existence, both to function as well as to defend ourselves from enemies abroad, and threatens families' means for food and shelter, QUIT DIGGING!
And shut it down.
