Swift Boating Over Taylor Tickets

I don’t especially care about either of these two entities.

I cannot name a single song – or even recognize one – that Ms. “Become A Big Star TV Show Graduate” Swift has put on electronic storage. I know virtually nothing about her other than she’s famous, popular with 350 million followers on social media, and is blonde. And she got politically active for a while during the last prez campaign.

Then there’s Ticketmaster, which seems to exist to add overhead costs to every event ticket. Often taking a bit more than seems reasonable for mailing/emailing tickets and hosting a buy site. Not getting why stadiums and talent don’t figure out an end-around this monopolistic electronic scalper.

But what is definitely true is Congressional obsession with this “issue” – no surprise – to share the limelight with "Swifties" fans and their hissy fit over Ticketmaster. I guess the substance of the bitch is that teenie boppers and their mothers lost out on grabbing tickets the nanosecond they went on sale. Yet re-sellers got tickets in abundance. That and the hidden up-charges Ticketmaster lards on to each retail sale.

But what irks me is with a hot war in Europe, unfettered illegal immigration, sky-high energy, huge food inflation, a declining domestic auto industry, top secret papers in every ex-White House administration's garages and closets, a fentanyl death scourge, anti-cop riots, mistrust in election integrity, ChiCom military aggression, Covid origins unexplained, FBI/NSA/DHS suppression of free speech to steer public opinion, etc etc etc ---------

We have Congress with time to work on concert ticketing reform!!!!

Seriously, WTF?

Gentleladies and Gentlemen, get your acts together, and don't try to sell me tickets to your collective distraction.

Do your jobs and address the existential problems facing America.

You're Swift Boating us.**
